Mentoring Confidentiality & Safe Space Agreement
1. The Promise
In our mentoring sessions, we are going to dive into both the commercial and the personal. To do the real work—whether that involves strategic unmasking, tackling your "doom pile," or scaling your business—you need a safe space.
My rule is simple: Whether we’re talking about a massive business pivot or the fact that you’re just struggling to keep it together today, it stays in the room. Period. I treat our sessions with the same strict confidentiality as the NDAs I sign for my high-level brand strategy work.
2. What is Considered Confidential?
Everything we discuss or share during our time together is strictly confidential. This includes, but is not limited to:
Commercial Information: Your business ideas, works-in-progress, financial details, pitch decks, and commercial strategies.
Personal Information: Discussions surrounding your mental health, neurodivergent traits, burnout, masking, or any other personal hurdles.
All Formats: This applies to all formats we use to communicate—whether it’s a standard Zoom call, audio-only, text, body-doubling in silence, or asynchronous voice notes on Voxer/WhatsApp.
3. How I Protect Your Information
I will never share your business secrets, personal struggles, or even the fact that we are working together with third parties unless you give me explicit, written permission to do so (for example, if you'd like me to share a testimonial or introduce you to a contact).
Any session notes I take to help track our progress, adjust your systems, or remember your working preferences are kept strictly private and secure.
4. The Exceptions (The Legal Necessity)
Because I am a professional, there are standard, legally required exceptions to this confidentiality. I would only share information if:
- I am required to do so by a court of law or legal subpoena.
- You disclose information that indicates an imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or to others. (Even in these extreme circumstances, my priority will always be to communicate with you first if it is safe and legally permissible to do so).
5. Mutual Respect
Mentoring is a two-way street. During our "Creative Sparring" or general discussions, I may share my own unreleased ideas, works-in-progress, or personal experiences regarding my own neurodivergence and business. By signing this, you agree to afford me the same respect and keep my confidential information private.
